Runescape 2 Autos: The Runescape Auto Wood Cutter
Ever since Runescape hit the MMO community, it has been littered with Runescape 2 autos, especially the Runescape auto wood cutter. Autos, also called auto-clickers, are illegal in the game of Runescape. People who use autos are called macros or bots. These people are performing illegal actions on the game of Runescape. Runescape 2 autos are essentially a program on your computer you can set up to perform the same actions, over and over again. This program will usually only need to be set once and will be able to record and repeat clicks of your mouse recorded on specific pixels on your computer screen. So why are these things illegal and whats stopping anyone from using them?
Why are they illegal in the game? Well Jagex, the creators of Runescape, claims Runescape 2 autos ruin the fun for other players as it gives an unfair advantage to playing the game longer, better, and unfairly while the player is able to perform actions while not even being at the computer. One can also make loads of money from autos. For example, if you are cutting logs with a Runescape auto wood cutter while you are at school, then you can make tons of money without any work! Runescapes rules state one must be actively playing the game while at the computer. Runescape 2 autos break this rule.
Whats stopping someone from using Runescape 2 autos? There are many things that are set in place to stop bots and macros from using autos. For example, random events appear as you are performing any action in the game, usually you only get them when skilling and leveling fast. These, if not responded to within their time limits, can stop you from your actions and training. They may also turn to fighting against you, and possibly killing you with everything you have on. Randoms are not that bad though. If you can catch them and complete them, you can get items, money, and even experience boosting books and lamps!

The choice of using Runescape 2 autos is totally your choice. If you are lucky, you may get away with using them. I know many people who have used them and still use them, but be warned, there are ways for Runescape to stop you. Many people caught using a Runescape auto wood cutter can break their axe, loose their items, or if you happen to be reported by another player, Runescape has the power to ban your account!
